The real cost of a weak website

What a bad website costs you,and what a good one brings in.

When customers Google “restaurant near me,” they open three or four results and close the ones that don’t look trustworthy in the first ten seconds. If your site is missing, dated, or slow, they pick someone else. You never hear about it.

Before

The customers you never hear from

  • Customers in your town search for “restaurant near me,” find a competitor, and call them.
  • The ones who do find you see a site from 2016 and assume your restaurant is the cheap option.
  • Your menu, hours, location, ordering options, catering, reviews are buried or missing, and nobody's fixed it in years.
  • One missed visit is worth $2,000–$10,000 a year, and you never see it happen.

After

A site that earns its keep

  • You show up when customers nearby search for restaurants.
  • The site looks as good as your restaurant, so the first impression is the right one.
  • Every page ends with one obvious next step: a visit.
  • One team keeps it fast, accurate, and current, every month.

Why this works

We only build sites for restaurants.

A general web agency builds for whoever calls this week, adapts the same template, and drops in your name. We do one thing: websites for restaurants. So we already know what customers look for, what your competitors’ sites get wrong, and what makes someone pick up the phone.

01

We know what customers look for

We've studied how customers choose between restaurants. We know which pages matter, which questions need answering, and which trust signals turn a visit into a visit.

02

We write the copy — all of it

You don't write a word. We interview you once, then write every headline, paragraph, and page in your voice.

03

Fixed price, fixed timeline

You know exactly what you're paying before we start. 3 weeks to launch is a commitment, not a guess. No open-ended projects, no runaway invoices.

How it works

Three weeks, four steps, no mystery.

The same sequence runs on every project. You always know which week you’re in and what we need from you.

The short version

For twelve years we did the same thing over and over for software companies: read the reviews, interview the customers, throw out the jargon, rewrite the page, watch the number go up.

Meanwhile the businesses we actually used — the shop that fixed the van, the practice that saw the kids, the accountant who saved the year — were stuck choosing between a $79 template and a $30,000 agency. Both of them sell the same thing: a website. Neither of them sells what a small business actually needs, which is someone who understands why a stranger picks one plumber over another at 9pm on a Sunday.

So we built Main Street: one team and one method for any small business that answers its own phone. The part that changes from trade to trade is the surface — the photography, the words your customers use. The part that makes it work is the same everywhere.

Common questions

Everything you’re
probably wondering

These are the questions we hear most often on strategy calls. If yours isn’t here, just ask — the call is free.

Is this a template, or is it really custom?

Every site is designed from scratch — no templates, no page builders, no recycled layouts. We study how customers choose between restaurants, then design a site around your restaurant, your location, and your goals.

I've worked with a web agency before and it was a nightmare. Why is this different?

We hear this constantly. The usual story: they take your deposit, disappear for weeks, then deliver something generic that doesn't look like your restaurant. We run on a fixed timeline and show you a complete mockup before a single line of code is written, so you know exactly what you're getting before you're committed to it.

Do I have to write the copy myself?

No. We write all of it. You fill out a short intake form and do a 60-minute kickoff call with us. After that, we handle every headline, paragraph, and page.

What if I don't like the design?

You review a complete design mockup before we build anything. One round of revisions is included. We don't start building until you're genuinely happy with what you see.

How long does it actually take? 3 weeks sounds fast.

3 weeks is our commitment, not our estimate. Week one: strategy, copy, and design. Weeks two and three: build, SEO setup, and launch.

What happens after the site launches?

Your monthly plan covers hosting, security updates, and the edits you send us — a new service, a new price, holiday hours. You email the change and we handle it. The site is yours: you own the domain, the design, and every file, and if you ever leave, we hand it all over.
